Grow all the food you need in just one 4 x 4' square! Learn the gardening method that uses 20% of the space, 10% of the water and 2% of the work of conventional gardening. Suitable for all levels of gardening experience from complete beginner to backyard farmer, this class will cover the basics of the Square Foot Gardening method invented by an engineer over 30 years ago. At the end of this class you will be able to plan, build and grow your own Square Foot Garden starting with seeds through to harvest. This special class is limited to 8 participants, and will take place in in the instructor's home and garden in Maynard, MA. The class will include a private tour of her suburban homestead.
One 2.5h session / $49 per person
Instructor: Amber Pacheco
About the instructor: Amber Pacheco is a certified Square Foot Gardening instructor who has been practicing the method for 7 years. When she is not commuting to her full time job or spending time with her two young children, she keeps busy building a suburban micro-farm in Maynard, MA.
